Because of the ribbing/banded knit, these soft stockings have a very generous stretch in the foot, ankle, and thigh area. The Black & White striped stockings also feature a lovely simulated seam on the back of them.

This item is based on extant styles dated from the late 1700s through the late 1900s. The ribbing was sometimes referred to as "banded" in early stockings descriptions. Playful and darn sexy- these would make a great addition to your historic ensemble or even a Steampunk or modern outfit.
